Cav/cally front machine hubs, new wheel bearings.
Rear cav v6 hubs, the rear beam needs to be convernted to disc all ready too.(if you can get non abs, as the sence bit in the middle canget in the way, you might need to space the hub a tiny bit, or get it machined off)

You can use vectra rear hubs, but you have to mess about abit more with the hand brake cable..

Chris Astley will do brand new 5 stud front hubs already machined and new bearings ready to be pressed into your existing nova carriers. Give him a call and tell him Simps sent ya.

For the rears its as per a normal disc conversion but you use either:-

- Cav V6 hub assembly
- Vectra v6 assembly (much larger discs than cav)
- Saab 900/93 1994-2000

Depending on which one you chose depends on how you mount the handbrake cable but its not difficult. Just use a mk3 astra GSi handbrake cable.

Or a nova and cav cable.

Ah! the mysterious nova cav setup that seems really hard to source or have we sorted which part numbers to order now? lol

Yep all sorted, its a cav mk2 estate cable needed, the threaded bit is longer.

And the stuff from CA are 42 each hub! and dont come with bearings, plus deilevery... Thats alot more than machining them down.

I think you're looking around £160 deliverd for Chris' brand new and machined hubs with bearings delivered. Same price for 4 stud as 5 stud.

How much would it cost to buy some 5 stud hubs 2nd hand then get them reliably machined so they don't mtech fail? Seemed good value to me tbh.

and cable wise its nova long standard cable and a mk2 cav estate cable going across the beam?

Benn

Ad dont say anything about bearings dude...

Mtech stuff is badly machined which is why the fail so much.

Machine will cost about 20-30 notes. Can buy a pair of hubs for 30notes..
Bearings think i payed about 15 each.

Awesome!

I've still got the mtech kit I got off dan to go on mine but might look into the cav option. You get a gen cable? I take it all mk2 cav estate where disked then?

Its that machining thats important and worth paying a little extra for imo that and new hubs.

New or old wont matter its a thick bit of cast iron.
But yeah the machine is the biggest importance.

That link was supposed to be to a page full of results after searching for "5 stud conversion" !!
Brings up loads of info !!

Best way for the fronts (imo) is to machine out the knuckkles to accept the larger group A (somekind of VW?) bearing, means you don't need to machine loads off the actual hub itself.
