was searching gaybay just now, came across this. its a seat marbella 1991. 3 words - what the fcuk? its dirt ugly, this car was out the same year as novas. who in their right mind would choose this over a nova? or other small cars for the year like fiestas etc.. look at the size of the wheels!! this car looks like it came out of the 70s

The AX really isn't much better than that. Neither were 205s tbh, a poverty spec 205 is pretty spartan inside. Golfs, Novas and Fiestas were all priced accordingly, and (you forgot about) Polos had only just had a facelift to make them a little nicer - pre-facelift Mk2's were about the same in terms of styling.

I know about all the chassis sharing etc. What I was getting at is even though Ford and GM have nothing in common, the new Fiesta and Corsa follow the current design trend in small hatches.
No-one chassis shares and raids the parts bins like VAG though lol

An old mate of mine nearly died in one of these. He asked it to steer at high speed and it point blank refused and ended up wrapping itself around a tree, putting him in a coma.

Suffice to say he wasn't too impressed with the car.

Oh, and Marbellas rule. Pure sex.
