You can XE a mini you know once you have the subframe ;) Teg Type R conversion is popular to, along with a 1600 V-Tec transplant.

Not really no, as for those kinda conversions, the engines bolt to a subframe, this bolts to the original mini's mounts. So all that happens is the subframe cracks lol

I was looking through the pictures thinking, hmm the front bumpers not to my taste but it doesnt look too bad.

Theres a normal looking mini round here on ats classics with an R1 carbed XE sat under the bonnet, now thats gotta be an animal!

It is indeed 10 points to rich, i was standing there talking to the guy and looking round it but you only tend to look at the car itself at first rather than in it, he said i get the "oh fcuk me theres another in the back" reaction from everyone lol

Theyre both pushing 250+ bhp iirc with both XE lumps running big spec builds and throttle bodies, the whol thing is spaceframed with the panels just bolted to the framed chassis!

Aparently hes going even further now, aiming for 1000bhp off gas! Using 2 turbos on the same v8 lol

not to sure, hes had different engines every 5 mins so not sure if that was even his latest. Think he broke 8s but dont know for sure i dont know him personally

A friend of mine was building a RWD mini using a vectra v6. But ended as when he got it running and rolling, testing it down a private road he was cut off by another driver which put the mini in the ditch :(

I will be getting the V6 now once my brother has finished using it as a mock up.

i agree with burgo i think minis are w**k myself especially when they look like that one!! i hate minis so bad allmost as much as i hate beetles and saxos!!!!

There is a Cav/Calibra V6 powered Mini on MIG. Richie (C20LETMINI) has built a few variants incl 1.6 GTE engines, XE's and LET powered.
