Difference between 1200st head and 1300

hi, i was wondering if someone could tell me what the differences are between the 1200 st head and the 1300 head???

was thinking of putting a 1300 head on to an st block but was wondering if it would be worth it or would i be better machining the 1200st head a bit more and run a 1300 cam in it???

1200 head has shallower chambers, so would give a touch more compression over a 1300 head.

sooo you think i would be beter to stick with the st head and machine it to get the best from it??

On a 1200 bottom end yeah.

You could fit a sri head, but that would mean youd have to run twin carbs/multipoint injection
