I know this is a bit sexist but Women cannot park. My mum reversed onto our drive, into my car last night and her excuse was 'I didn't see it parked on the drive'. This is the equivilent of parking in a car parking space with a car already in it! :o

What is wrong with you. :o

I also watched onme women at uni today trying to parellel park. She gave up after 4 attempts, having gone up the curb twice and nudging another car.

I know this is a bit sexist but isn't it also sexist males having to pay higher insurance when things like this happen all of the time.
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I am so tempted to get involved with this post - but I wont... it'll only cause me a load of hassle from "you know who" that keeps arguing with me :D

SO my trap is well and truely shut.

I mostly agree, I know a lot of girls who have real trouble with parking and manouvering - it's painful to watch. A girl from college drove into the back of a Rover in her Polo the other day, couldn't help but laugh at what a ridiculous thing it was to do, especially when she told me the cost of the damage! However, it definately doesn't apply to every single female driver out there, too harsh to say they're all crap.

It is too harsh to tar all with the same tar smothered brush... but... and this is quite a big BUT...
(couldn't keep my mig mouth shut could I?)

It has been scientifically proven that women have worse 3D spacial awareness than men. Which makes them worse at judging distances and working out if their car will fit into a parking space or not.

I am not having a dig at any women in particular, just stating a fact. So if certain members could refrain from making me cry again I wouldappreciate it. :D

id love to agree but all my gurl m8 have clean licences and had no crashes im 19 so weve all been driving 2years round my way.
BUT..........!
id have to say wen ever you look at a women at the traffic lights there always faffin with their hair or sumthing! sorry gurls had to say it :o

LMFAO!

My g/f cant park to save her life! She drives a seat ibiza with power steering and EVERY TIME without fail she kerbs it - I'll sit there and say "kerbed" even before she turns the wheel and every time I'm right! :o :D

Anyone see Smak the Pony of Channel4 the other week when they took the p1ss out of women parking - they had a cctv overlooking an EMPTY car park and eatched a woman (it was a comedy sketch so planned) try about 500 times to park - failed every time! This is so true!

Then theres that Psycho woman in Edinburgh who whilst waiting for a space on one side was beaten to it by another woman who slipped in from the other side - not happy the woman who was beaten drove into the space and pushed the other womans car out of space in to oncoming traffic whilst the parked womans kids were standing at the back of the car tryng in vein to push it back :o :o She got banned by the way!

My g/f has a m8 who takes the word "bumpers" literally and when trying to get out of a parked space will ensure she uses all those bumpers on all cars in the immediate vicinity around her to "assist" - she's even been known to use wing mirrors to help her get out!

Now I've had 2 smashes in my driving lifetime my g/f has had none and I'm amazed at this. It is a proven )DVLA proven) fact that women CANNOT judge distances and thats why they miss lights, slam into the back of people (louise) and cant park - when they do parkl they are usually in your car and ensure they scuff yer wheels BADLY!

I agree that we shouldn't tar all women drivers with the same brush........ BUT, I have experienced some bad driving by them in the past.

I was driving home from Inverness one day wiv my g'friend (she was a few months preggers, had just been for the first scan) so was driving @60. Up ahead I could see a big combine harvetser going quite slow. Driving behind the combine there a red car, so as i got closer, continuing at 60 I could see this car was not going to overtake, so I slowed to about 50, and indicated to gently pull out and pass both vehicles......

Then at the last minute the is red megane scenic pulls out (no indicator or fcuk all :x )!!! So here I am, skidding towards this megane and it quickly occurred to me I was gonna smash in the back of her. I stopped braking and swerved off the road, smahed into the kerb and done a 180 on the grass at the side of the road.

I checked to see my g'friend was ok, turned round, overtook the combine and caught up with the red car, started flashing my lights and that cos I was raging! And then I could see that it was a women behind the wheel, and she started looking right in her mirror doing her hair and that!!!! Bitch!!!

When she finally stopped, I walked up 2 her window and vividly expressed my views towards women drivers.

Oh yeah, and my g'friends mum drives everywhere in 3rd gear.

I agree that you cannot say that every woman cannot drive BUT why do insurance companies do this to males and automatically put their insurance up. If it were the other way round we would hear all of the feminist groups play the sexist card.

You cannot generalise us all. Being driving 2 years and not one bump or smash (yet- touch wood, and NO not my wood)

I can't really say too much - been driving three years and in the last 12 months drove into the back of a reliant robin, almost wrote it off and only nudged it at about 1mph, uphill, in 1st foot still down on clutch a bit...
HIS FAULT... started to pull out onto main road from junction, just down the road traffic lights had stopped the traffic coming so the road was clear, he sets off - i lift clutch and let handbrake off and roll forward behind him, glance around to my right to make sure traffic is still stopped, as i look round he is sat at the junction stopped, i dip clutch and brake, oops, *nudge* and then big cracks appear all over his crappy fibreglass car.

ALso - a couple of months ago I got 3 points for speeding, doing 61 through a 40 zone, which is safe on that road, dual carriageway - 9:40am so everyone is already at work... I was late for work and drving through the industrail estate to get to my place of business i put foot down... The road is always empty on there, you could do 90 without risking anything.

So, what's my point? My point is this...
I have had an accident and speeding charge, but that doesn't mean I am a bad driver. I can park my car, i can reverse my car, and when going forwards i am more than competant...

So, on the flip side of that coin - just because a woman has never crashed or been caught speeding doesn't mean she is a good driver. Just a thought. You can't judge someones driving ability by looking at a list of penalties and accidents. THey could have just been wrong place wrong time, tw@t in another cars fault, tw@t in a police cars fault etc.

What yous   got against women drivers?
Just because one woman couldnt park as well as you can!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"i know this sounds a bit sexist"
You dam right you were being sexist!
And as for women increasing your insurance i dont think so! i think you have your lines crossed somewhere thats why there is companys for women only which are alot cheaper. So how do you work that one out!

Be different if your car broke! then you would be crawling round your lass for a lift!

well it might be a fact that women cant park but im not agreeing with that, but point is that OLD WOMEN CAN'T DRIVE
they cant turn there head, at all in most cases, and they just p!ss me OFF! one crashed into back of me, 'thought i was going' she kept saying, stupid b!tch, and saw one reverse outa a side road cark park space straight into a volvo! she just sat there wondering what the big smash noise was, GOD THEY P!SS ME OFF!

wisewood
01-11-02, 12:16 PM
one crashed into back of me, 'thought i was going' she kept saying, stupid b!tch

Mate - thats what I did with the old bloke in the reliant - only difference was there was no reason at all for him to stop. He didn't stall, there was no traffic and hadn't been for 30 seconds. GGRRR!!!

Oh well, we live and learn... if you gonna have a low speed collision, hit something made of metal not plastic, it causes less damage.

linzTDI
01-11-02, 12:20 PM
i think i would agree with you to an extent that all OLD PEOPLE CANNOT DRIVE! not just women!
i can understand that it would put me off old people for life if somebody crashed in to my baby!

well when she hit me at low speed she didnt only hit me, she managed to cave in all my boot, rear left wing and peirce the boot floor, made a right mess. and it was 15 mins form my house and she lives on the next road next to mine! it was a Secento as well! she must of been going at some speed, still waiting for injury claim to be finished, been about 6 months! My cars looking nicely now tho.
spent the right off money on doing it up!

I get very little sleep intentionally to keep black rings beneath my eyes - it makes the whites of my eyes look brighter and thus gives the illusion that i have really nice eyes. LMFAO - yeah right.

But yeah - you are right - i do look pretty damn good with my hair shorter than when you saw it last, it is supposed to be short - but for four months i couldn't be arsed to get it cu, so it just went into the only style it could... and now i can just get up and gel it and go... and people think it is styled like that - lmfao.

AND - STOP PLAYING ABOUT WITH MY GORGEOUS PICTURES!!!

I backed into a car last week, I'm no woman!!!

It happens to all of us, but mainly to women, who on average drive a smaller amount of miles!!!!!

jon_boy
03-11-02, 07:43 PM
but like some one said its been proven women have less spatial awareness and 3d perception so we cant blame em. lol, my mate reversed into a big concrete post the other day in a big empty car park. silly girl. even better i had to drive outta the car park for her cos she got nervous poor lass.

wisewood

i had to drive outta the car park for her cos she got nervous poor lass.

I can understand that - i would doubt my abilities if i drove into a concrete post int he middle of an otherwise empty car park.

God I've heard a lot about women drivers. I've also seem women drive badly. Heres one example:

We're at a mini roundabout. This dumb woman wants to go straight forward not knowing about the roundabout. As we go round it she beeps at us telling us to get outta the way. Silly woman :x .

wisewood

EXCUSE ME  WTF???? WHAT R U ALL ON ABOUT :o
as most of u know by now im female been driving 2 and half years 2 years no claims. I am not a bad driver. Not frightend of anything my best advantage is racing.
Isnt it as sum 1 else said a proven fact that men are worse drivers than men?? i think so. Who is it that pays more on there car premiums/ insurance?? YES TELL UR SELVES MEN
K im not the best car parker in the world but i can do it after 3 attempts. LMAO

DONT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER :agrue:

wisewood
04-11-02, 07:15 PM
There are exeptions to every rule.
(but doesnt that mean there is an exeption to that rule too?)

NOT ALL WOMEN ARE BAD DRIVERS, in much the same way that I resent paying massive insurance premiums just because of a load of idiots that get into a car and drive like a lunatic with no idea of how to control it properly. (fair enough i had an accident, but that was only slow about 3mph, just me not paying attention)...

I have no doubt you are a pretty good driver Tilly, can't be that bad to drive a GTE for two and a half years and keep your no claims, I know plenty of lads who would have totalled it by now.

Tilly
04-11-02, 07:26 PM
Dont try and be nice now

wisewood
04-11-02, 07:37 PM
What you getting pi$$ed off with me for? I didn't start it... the only bad thing i have said is a scientifically proven fact.
Women have worse three dimensional spacial awareness than men (on average). Women find it harder to judge distance and speed as a result.
You can't blame me - it's the laws of physics.

I am not claiming to be a better driver than you simply because I am a bloke. I wouldn't do that, that would just be stupid. Chances are, in equal cars it would be you who won, and I have no problem admitting it.
I am not the best driver in the world... I am better than most people I know, but hey are crap, so that proves nothing.

Tilly

believe me if i had more spare cash i woul dhave a very stupid car.
in fact it is a good job i dont have as much cash as i would like coz i would probably end up killing myself within a few days. Not driven anything with some decent oomph for ages now. Last thing was my dads Mitsubishi Galant, or was it his Rover 800 V6? Can't remember, one of them anyway... ofr the last year it has been nothing but my load of pants slow as anything nova 1.3 5 door, my slightly quicker nova 1.2, my mums fiesta 1.25 and and my clio 1.2... all very slow and crap.

I saw a female learner the other day turning left off a mainish road, she stopped before turning to give way to absolutely nobody, then stalled and after a couple of minutes started again and turned left. This left me stuck because of a parked car on my side of the road and all the cars behind her stuck too.

The main thing that gets me is she looked like the kinda of women that in a few months will be driving a Disco or some other 4wd, and will have no hope in hell of controlling it.

Goes to hide in another corner............

women in 4x4s, usually going to pick the kids up at school. WHY?????????????????????????????????
The nearest they have probably got to being off-road is when the last mounted the curb trying to park the damn thing.

wisewood
05-11-02, 04:23 PM
but you have to remember that half the "4x4's" these days wouldn't be up to crossing anything more than a kerb anyway. All the "girly" 4x4 cars you see about these days are daft.

Not wanting to offend anyone with that - just my opinion so please dont spank me.

i know this is goping to sound sexist..but...thats cos it is!

My mum drives everywhere in wrong gear, waits till sets off and tries putting seat belt on when driving swerving all over the road, cant park with out using the kerb etc etc.

Women drivers are shite, theres very very few women that can drive well.

As for men having more accidents it is proven that PER MILE women have more accidents than men, they just driver fewer miles so less accidents overall.

the ASA made Diamond insurance(women only) change their adverts saying that women have less accidents, for this reason entirely.

Statistics prove women are worse...case closed.

Number of women drivers in F1?

07-11-02, 02:49 PM

don't be silly - you let it sleep and die off for a while, until it gets off page one... then bring it back to life with a fresh new perspective on the same arguement and teh same people (you and tilly) get to fight it all out again with a fresh set of eyes. :D

BUT my point was correct the other day the fact that boys or men have to pay more premiums than a girl or woman in the same circumstances.
Not saying all girls are good far from it but my saying is dont judge a book

wisewood
08-11-02, 02:55 PM
dont judge a book

dont judge a book by what? :D

Chris LR
11-11-02, 06:49 PM
Women can't drive as well as men.
Women can't park as well as men.
Women have better statistics becasue they drive less miles.

Women should drive behind a bloke with a red flag, airhorn, hi-vis jacket flashing orange light etc

I think that part of them problem is that becasue 'some' women haven't got a clue how their car works they can't appreciate how to drive it properly.

wisewood
11-11-02, 07:10 PM
its good to see another lass standing up to the tossers. :D

hope you not including poor little old me in that broad branding you just did.

and Chris... you may be taking things a bit far now mate...
the statistics do show the mile for mile women have more accidents than men - but please can we stop just saying "Women can't drive, and women can't park" because some women can... and do it very well.

Chris LR
11-11-02, 07:35 PM
Maybe but my last point stands
