Most people who are into cars & like to drive fast have had some sort of off. I've had several but got away without writing anything off or hurting myself too bad more by luck than judgement(nearly crashed into a 100 foot quarry once!!! :o )

If you've done it, there's no doubt its a real shitter - the worst feeling and quite frankly I don't think anyone should laff at anyone for crashing. Its just sick

The rivalry and pisstaking between RB and Novaload is 1 thing but lets not take it too far.

I feel sorry for Ged and hope he's OK.

Let me make one thing clear here, the object of my post was in no way to laugh at ged for crashing, i posted it cause no1 had and i was browsing RB, sum1 wud have posted sonner or later. Hope this clears things up from my point of view.

p.s. sorry to here about your car ged and hope your allrite, gud luck with selling the car and your next project

It just struck me as majorly funny that he wasn't known. Couldnt stop laffing - the missus thought I'd lost it lmao!

Anyway so who is he???? I've never met him but here's some Novaload history

Well he does exist lol! and he runs roybacer. In the early days when Novaload first got going there was no RB. Ged was one of the main participants on here. During this time he set up RB, I'm not really sure why - you have to ask him that? But anyway he remained a (very) regular contributor on here. No worries we all rubbed along OK and seemd to be mates.
However, relations slowly soured as he became the butt of some major piss taking. As I remember it he used Novaload to majorly promote his new Nova site which annoyed some and he also said a lot of stuff at various times which annoyed various people and that set himself up to be laffed at. If someone started on him, we all tended to pile in and take the piss big time esp. if it was about his Ped lol!
Anyway he didn't take kindly to it at all and took umbridge. It got nasty - things were said on both sides - he got abusive and caused probs so eventually he was kicked off here.

Ever since then there's been a tit for tat exchange of insults which flairs up every now and then. I think it would be fair to say that it isn't all Geds fault and sometimes he gets more shit than he perhaps deserves. There's plenty use his site and this one and don't have a problem with either? So make up your own mind?
Maybe its petty but its a bit like being a football supporter - there are some rival teams you just dont like and its actually quite enjoyable not liking them - there doesn't really need to be a proper reason?

What is funny, is those of you saying that crashing a car is a good thing...am I the only one thats thinking of what happens to your insurance? If you do crash a moderatley fast car at a young age and it is your fault then you're gonna be screwed when it comes to insuring the next "bigger, faster, better Nova". Unless you don't declare modifications, then it's the rest of us that get screwed because the premiums go up :(

I've never crashed my car and "touch wood" hopefully wont. I don't drive like 'Miss.Daisy' before Ian and Breeny start :P I just assess the conditions before I drive - common sence really.

The bickering between RB and Novaload is down to a few individuals from what I can tell Ade.

well if you do drive hectic then chances are you will crash at some point! if a careful driver can crash so can u! as for insurance maybe it will rise maybe it wont myne didnt it also didnt when i got points! at the end of the day y get your self down you cant turn bak time so think to the future :)

Ged deserved a crash, he drove as hard as he could the whole time and it was bound to happen sooner or later, anyone who has ever street raced has run the same risk.

I used to go illegal street racing many years ago and if i had crashed it would have been my fault.

Ged is a mate of mine and im gutted fro him as his car was just getting to be finished.
Ged himself will im sure admit thoguh that it was just his own fualt and it was the risk he always knew he was taking.

When he gets his next car he has a choice of slowing down and not having so much fun or driving the same and risking another crash.

Same choice we all have i guess.

Im sure he'll bounce back with another nova soon enough and be out there once again showing people in more expensive machinery what a nova with a committed driver can do to them!


All this rivalry between the two sites is bollocks, i get on with most people on both sites, and if everyone was on one site then im sure they would all get on fine.

ive actaully witnessd a nova beat a skyline and a prelude in drag racing over at basildon,

ok the drag strip wasnt that long ata ll but the drivers in these motors couldnt hav been total muppets that they let emselves get ebat every time,

he was runnin a 2.0ltr on throttle bodies there was talk of nos but its bollox if he used it as there ent enuff roo mata ll so that hersay but i watchd it fuk then bot hofff twice each
