Not my auction, but figured as the popularity of these is growing, someone might bag a steal...

Like anything though, when it becomes rare (ie most of em in the bin) people start to want it more.

It generally cracks me up that all the old stuff like tartan/check seats & snowploughs are now sought after despite most of it all ending up in bins & on fires years back when it was regarded as unfashionable (to put a horrid phrase on it)

They'd look ace with some banding IMO.

Actually, I can't even think of any other set of wheels which would suit my car. I hate 99.9% of aftermarket wheels.

And I have loads of brand new centre caps :D

Banding is overrated. Cosmetically pleasing but more hassle and £££ than it's worth IMO. Also I'd be scared of thrashing it, a 2.0 Nova is meant to be thrashed lol

If i were to have some banded wheels, and i am thinking about it, they would be for show use only. They look good IMO.

Show use is fine, just don't have a blow out on the motorway like John did.
I do like them, I looked seriously into getting them done myself, it was the original reason I wanted the steelies. Just drive slowly... Everywhere!

I had an instant puncture on the motorway on the way home from pvs. Not nice as the tyre deflated instantly at approx 75mph.
