Brake pad choice

Hi guys after some feedback or advice on Brake pad choice

ill be using Vectra V6 disc and calliper set up and im unsure which pad to go for

most likely to be

EBC greenstuff
factory GM pads

thought about Mintex 1144 but i thoiught £86 was too much for how much the car will be used and its only for regular drivin

advice and comments please

do you really need 'trick' pads? or is it just something else for the spec-sheet?

what are you using the car for?

depending on what its doing you might be better with some cheap Drive-Line pads.

Thats what i used, been 100% fine, even on full track days

I'd go smaller caliper (256mm disc version) and use 1144's... keep the weight down and get ace braking

GM pads are great from cold, but are terrible for dust, though its more like grease tbh.

I've done about 150 easy miles on mine & the wheels are filthy.

1144s here and love them.

Brakes and tyres are things worthy of spending money on IMO

Have to agree there, i noticed after donnington that there was a lot of black streaks all over my front wheels, i thought it was cv grease at first,Lol.
But its like greasy brake dust, and was a nightmare to remove. Ended up having to get the cutting compound out to remove it.
It must be the resin stuff or something thats in the pad compound

GREENSTUFF arent theat bad 4 dust are they???? are they any good at V^ level, had them on the 356 set up year ago and they sempt good?

NO greenstuff are ONLY good for cars over 1.5Tons and mountainbikes. for everything else between they are shoite

lol Ive got greenstuf pads with 2ltr astra brakes on my corsa and they are pants! Just get gm stuff
