i keep reading a lot of people going on about subs are no good unless in a good box but what makes a good sub box and what makes a bad one

really is that it what so as long as its not to big or to small it could make a cheap sub sound better
as i knew a guy who also told me the thicker the wood the better is this true
google it mate
do some research
its a fine art to make a 'good' box

i have been at the same time mate and have found a good website to tell you how big to make the box for certain types of subs
Also the shape of the box, filler, ports, vented, etc.
I usually use 12-18mm MDF for sub boxes.

when i bought my sub many moons ago it was a kenwood blue fecker and it came with the box dimentions and material thickness so i angled it keeping the same dimentions and included a false back so it fitted into the back of the seats.
