i have always thought the walter pump acted as a tenshioner??? but they can be a tight fit some times then they go slack if that makes sence :s

im sure sri's and some gsi had a tensoner, but if your 1.4 has a round tooth set up and its a sr carb engine just get a belt from a 1.3 sr :)

what do you mean get it on ? you mean tension it up?

crank pulley, cam pulley, water pump, thats all the belt goes around!

remove the bolts on the water pump, wind the pump back, remove old belt, put new belt on, turn the water pump back untill tensioned, put bolts back in

please put it to TDC before taking apart, and make sure the pulleys dont move

well the belt just isnt long enough to get round all of the pulleys! ive tried a few now and there either to big or 2 small! should my engine have a tensioner?
