people run 1.2 rads all the time.

Do they /\
No one i know runs a xe on a 1.2 rad.

Just use a sri/gsi/gte one, cheap to get and miles bigger.

I run a 1.2 rad on my 2.0 8v and its fine, check that the fan switch works to be on the safe side though.

Also mines a 38k shell so if its high mileage then rad flush should help, but tbh you dont NEED to upgrade the rad.

thanks for all the info, reckon ill keep with the 1.2 rad for the time being, it looks in pretty good shape, no leaks etc. just trying to keep the cost down really.

You may find you car will run alot hotter because of the smaller rad though.

Depends, as said mines low mileage and normal driving bearly gets up to a 1/4 on the temp gauge.

More importantly is to make sure your fan switch is working correctly or just put in an over-ride switch.
