Seems as my nova is now finished and on the road i thought i would post some pics up.
There are a few minor bits of bodywork to do such as round the door locks and overspray in the engine bay which will be done over winter.

Really like the car mate, but somehow the wheels just dont sit right with me, I like it because it looks un-assuming but I think a decent set of wheels would finish it off.

Looks awsome mate but theres 1 wee thing I'd change about it - Move the front number plate up so its in-line with the red stripe :)

the cheap looking induction filter.
Thats because they are cheap, same one i have lol
I hate the look of them too, hence mines going in the bin.

That white SR engine bay would look awesome if you could get a proper black airbox in there imo

I was thinking exactly that Adam, a modded Astra airbox would look amazing, as would getting the lettering on the plug cover in White too.

Looks good. Engine bay looks clean, white lettering needed though and some bumper gel.

Would be good to see.
Does anyone ever run standard airboxes with XE/LET conversions? I know space is an issue, especially with the latter but surely it's do-able on an XE?

Very nice job BTW 2LSR

Any std GM airboxes are too deep for the Novas innerwings, however there wasa euro Corsa A pictured with an airbox a while ago, so I reckon with some head scratching & a plastic welder, it'd be possible.

Would one from a Nova SRi or GSi/GTE not fit ?

Adam
20-10-08, 04:32 PM
Nova SRi airbox could be made to fit the xe inlet pipe, would probably need cut the std intake pipe off and plastic weld one on from a astra gsi/gte airbox.

Gsi/gte one is no use due to the afm.

Aye I know standard won't fit, but as you say plastic weld it and maybe run a different sized panel filter if need be. Could even fibreglass it if it's just the back/bottom?

The XE AFm needs to fit in the gap too, one reason I couldnt get an airbox on with my C16Xe AFM. No room.

Xe afm is tiny compared to a c16xe one, so it could be possible.

I had been thinking about the white lettering but i think it would be a nightmare to do.
Im thinking about going more factory anyways with silver cam/timing covers and polished letters. At the minute im replacing all the bolts that are tatty such as wing bolts etc with new Vaux ones, then i plan to get rid of some over spray and tidy the wiring up with some conduit (Spelling!!).

Now i have the RFX's (cheers John) i need to pick a colour which will either be body colour or silver then get them on.

Cheers for all the comments :thumb:
