View Full Version : twin 40s
HOLY SHIT!!
twin 40s rock.
just got them running as i was about to give up completely.
greattt!
got an oil leak from the gasket-pasted joint between the cylinder head and the cam housing that just wont seal tho.
anybody else had a similar problem, and could the head be warped??
cheers
maybe ur bottom end is breathing heavy? mind u it shud pop the rocker gasket 1st!
bit of a bugger that 1 as u haveto take head bolts off!
Check the inlet manifold - I seem to remember that a bit off the inlet manifld fouls the cam housing? I had to cut a bit off when i did it?

The noise, the power, the fuel consumption...do'h! It's all worth it though :)

Another fan here too!! I don't think the fuel consumption is that bad either, not unless you nail it everywhere, which is very tempting from the sound they make!!!! Best conversion I have done yet, but isn't as simple as some might think.
I've got them on too and got to say they sound like nothin else! only problem is getting them setup right - i'm still trying to get rid of me damn flat spot ! apart from that tho they are the mutts
