Mk1 Clocks into MK2?

Just wondering, do MK1 clocks mount to a mk2 dashboard ok, and do they use the same plug etc?

Different plug, you'll need to splice the Mk1 connector onto the Mk2 loom - there's a diagram in my dash swap guide in the articles section for chopping the wires together.

The Mk1 dials will fit, although its a bodge - I ran my old saloon for ages with Mk1 dials wedged into the Mk2 dash without a problem. You can put a bolt in the top Mk2 dash mount and bend it down to hold the dials in place.
