it would polish but a mirror finish is questionable given the quality of the metal....

Yer tried polishing mine. They are quite pitted and quality aint great. Does improve it a little but it aint great.

Tbh its a cover from a 1.2/1.3. Not sure what other engines it comes on if any.

Yeah, that link was just to demonstrate they COULD be polished :p

I'd look to pay a fiver from a scrappy, depending how tight the yard owner is.

Start off on about 400 to remove any imperfections then work your way up through grades until you reach 2000 then polish it like mad with anutosol and a dremel or an attatchment onto a drill :thumb:

Benn

You dont really need to do as high as 2000...

At my local yard the owner is famous for everything being 'alf hundred'. I'm not sure why he can't just say fifty quid but unless you want a lot of stuff its hardly worth going. I'm sure someone on here will sort you one of those rocker covers for next to nothing, no doubt most people have put a fair few of them in the bin, I know I have

Where did you buy that cover Cle ?

I think thats the one that used to be on Mark's old GSi Nova (novacabrio)

Cle

bought in the parts for sale section bout 2 months ago. bought the Rocker cover, standered inlet for a 1.6 nova and i think a 1.6 gsi or Gte air filter with k&n filter in and a polished bit on it.

will sell the air filter if any interest.
