Is there a difference between early and late spec crank pulleys on the XE? Just got the blue on for mine (early spec XE). Removed the old one, went to fit the new one (dish on the face of the crank) bolt holes wont line up!? Well 4 do, 2 dont.

Also they are different diameters (150mm vs 115mm), will this cause problems with my alternator?

I fail!! My own stupid fault for rush fitting it really. Just gone back to my mums, where the engine is, had another go as it was annoying me! Turned it back and forth and eventually the holes lined up! lol

My only concern now is a, the difference in weight and b, the difference in diameter compared to the original.

The difference in weight is a good thing.

Size should be fine

The diameter difference is to put less drive in to the alternator, so there is less drain on the power of the engine, less weight is like having a lighter flywheel, better engine accleration/pickup but less inertia for hills etc (however the difference will be negligable as its such a small weight difference)

That really is quite a size difference! I'd never noticed it before, just always looked the same as my old courtenay one lol

It looks closer to the size of the outer one on twin V pulley thats used for PAS.

you can see the size of it on my old one thats shiney after being machined off.

Oooh, weight loss and a power increase. What we talking 5, 10bhp ;) ;)

Cheers for the help guys! :thumb:

Not techincally a power increase, but less power wasted.

probly stick 0. in front of your estimates ;)
