Iv just fitted my 1.2spi nova with a 1.8spi engine, the problem im having is that i cant find anyone who makes a crank pulley to fit this engine that has a 'V' belt pattern, i have found a few but they have 6 bolt holes where as the 1.8 engine only has 4 bolt holes. Any ideas
What pully was on the engine originally?
Hmm, 1.8 spi should have v pully i think.

Cant you re drill a 6 Bolt one to suit as we discussed if required. Perhaps have to be done by an engineering co or the like though...
Get a xe one, and see if any of the holes line up. Its not exactly under a massive load so if you can get 3/4 bolt holes to line up, it'll be fine.
Im still confused as to what pully was on it originally if it wasnt a V lol
Yeah?
If it was in a cav with pas/air con and shizzle
Some 1.2/1.4spi's have wide belts

Yea it did have power steering and was fitted with the wider belt.
How many does a 2l 8v pully have, that may fit
How many does a 2l 8v pully have, that may fit
4 iirc :)
Sorted then
Use a 2l 8v one
It took you saying it to jog my memory lol
Actually, does a 1.8 8v have sensor teeth on the bottom pully?
If it does, scrap the 2l 8v idea lol lol lol

So the crank sensor is bolted to the front of the block like on a Xe?
