hi iv just joined and im buiding a nova with an xe engine and im doing the work in the engine bay and cant remove the seamsealer anyone got an idea

the best way is to burn it off!! but this comes with a few obvious risks lol. other than that its a wire wheel in a drill but that doesnt get it all

I used a drill with a wire bit attachment, once you have most of it off the welder will burn the rest off, so you can wire brush it between welds.

I scraped it off with a decorators scraper & picked the rest out with my fingers. Wire brush bit & drill makes perfect sense however.

Use a grinder with a wire brush for the easy to access areas mate, drill/hand tools for the more awkward.
