i got the sr back to night it has white novaload stickers in the back windows all round
the guy i bought it off of said he didn't stick them on there but uses/used the site
so has any one ever owen a j reg nova sr in white last part of the reg NKX???
the car is in fareham hampshire so i am gessing local???
just thought i would ask as its always intresting to find out abit of history (spelt wrong)

i bought it for parts for the mk1 my girl friend runs but i am in to minds what to do with it as the shell looks claen boot floor under bonet etc
i miss rwd to much tho so its 75% going to get used for bits but i am sure that will go up and down in the next few days lol
the car needs a new head on it thats why it is off the road
Save it then if its clean there cant be many bargain novas kicking around anymore and its just one more in the crusher if you dont!
wasn't going to scrap it was going to sell the shell etc
i dont like killing them :( hence the mk1 i gotr given for scrap is moted and on the road lol
the probelm i have with saving it is what is it worth when its done?? if it costs more then its worth i would rather spend the money on e30 and get that back on the road
when i say whats it worth when done i mean quick sale not top money if that makes sence i am getting off here now as i keep looking at the pictures :tard:
Well TBH mate, its a very mix and match car, the spoiler doesnt match the mk2 front, the Interior has GTE Seats, the Vynal on the sides isnt origional. What engines in it? Does it run?

Looks like a mish mash of parts, but no signs of the arches rusting out. Had a new front panel aswell? If as you say the boot floor etc, is good, keep it. Or use what you need and break the rest forspares including the shell?!

that is / was / still could be the plan :( if i didn't like driving the little 1.2 mk1 so much i would be out side stripping it in the rain but i still can't make up my mind. i have a friend that is intrested in the shell and left overs (i am not robbing loads of bits) so i will see what offer he makes me if its low then i may fix it going to phone up some brakers yards 2day and find the price of a head
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAhh things would be easyer if i still hated nova's
boot floor is ok, has had new front panel fitted, the head is shot on it so it just needs a new head and brakes checking etc i would have thought. the lights etc work as we used it all when towing it back :thumb: the front bumper is off it to make it easyer to tow
engine is a 1.4 so i am told :S it has sunvisors with light up mirrors in them as well lol look nova ish with the covers on them (will get a pic later when camra has charged up)
any other places you guys would like to see why i am out side armed with the camra ???

So its an SR then? 1400 8v carb fed IIRC. Good engine, get the head sorted, tidy it up and have fun!!

yep is a 1.4 sr avalve would any vauxhall 1.4 head fit it???

i bought the car standard and used parts from my written off gte to do it up.
think the head had been port n polished and a few other bits done to it as was pretty quick and faster then any other standard sr. the head went on it though so was rebuilt using standard bits of another nova.
thanks buddy so i am gessing you put all the seats etc in it?? looks to have lost them rear lights :( and has a smaller exhaust fitted now body work might still look the same after a wash as its green atr the mo

the car was never that 'mint' when i had it but was good enough for me until my dream nova came up for sale, another standard sr but mk1 and alot cleaner.
the exhaust didnt go with the car as i used it for the new nova along with the wheels, every thing else went with it.
only nova geeks notice things like gte seats in mk2 sr and rer wing so looked good imo(got plenty positive comments for it)
Always thought the MK1 Spoiler looks odd on a MK2
Like the lights though, same as Breeny's old ones, always been my favorite lights on a nova.

:) after talking to some one eles its not as strate as it looks :( least i know what i am doing with it now when the girl friend goes to spain her little mk1 is going to get some new bits and toys :lol:

my dad had this about five years ago ha!wtf!when it was in its prime (well almost) cant belive its still about! he was in a accident in it,it got hit behind which caused him to go into someone in frount.claimed off insurance and brought it back off them for a fiver.
the above post is why i am not keeping it
my friend that clamed it befor i even picked it up :lol: is having it after i have pulled swaped bits over on to the mk1 nova i built for the girl friend why she is inm spain for a week i am left with her car :D if any one is intrested in the seats/inside trim then pm me a offer
