Hey
Can anyone explain to me why i keep blowing plugs
i have a 1.6 turbo and i have replaced two sets of plugs in 3 weeks
i just cant see why it would keep blowing plugs.

Any help would be great as i cant afford a new set of plugs every week

As in the plug becomes duff and won't spark

Are you using the right ones for the engine setup? If you're using ones rated for a cool engine, but yours is hot then they'll get damaged.

Ive been buying bosch super 4 plugs
Even my old 1.2 carb used to eat those like there was no tomorrow. Rubbish plugs.

My 1.6T was fine on the std recommended plugs, though I did switch to 7's if I am remembering correctly that 6's are std........?

Really, well am not quite sure which NGK's to choose from
looks like ill have to buy some more then.

i was recommended bosch super 4s by another chap running a 1.6 turbo.
does anyone know which temperature plug i need then?

as the engine has had a vast amount of work done like cams, bigger pistons etc.

Cheers
