i was just wondering if there is anyone on here that knows a good place where i can get a sensible price to get my nova transported from welling in kent to lincon (either a companys number that i can call to get a price or if anyone fancys making themselves some money on the side ill be more than happy to pay them what ive been offered elsewhere), or does anyone have a car trailor that i can pay to borrow? (not expecting a freebie) the reason why i ask is ive decided to pull my finger out of my a**hole and get my nova finally on the road, and it needs to go to lincon as there is someone there that is making my boost pipes for me (just incase you was wondering) would appreichate any help or advice

thanks ryan

Local recovery firm should be able to help you out?

Join the AA/RAC will be the cheapest option, most recovery companies are at least a £1 a mile and with fuel prices i imagine its gone up even more.

thats a&j exhibitions, i used them when getting my car transported down from birmingham, gave me a real competative quote as its not a recovery service they ship world wide, pretty cheap overall
hope that helps

Thats all well and good but trust me, car transporters earn very good money be it with a trailor or truck, there expnsive to buy but worth there weight in gold.

You should be able to rent a trailor for about £30 a day.

Any custom exhaust fitter should be able to make you boost pipes, surely one a little closer?

i know what you mean but cant find anyone willing to help thats local, and also this fella in lincon is custom making them through roose motorsport in silicon. i can probably rent a trailor but i cannot tow on my licence and do not own a vehicle with a tow bar

What car/engine are you having boost pipes made for?

c16xe (corsa gsi engine) its had a courtney turbo conversion on it so obviously they dont make boost pipes fo this engine this is why im having to go to the trouble of doing this should be worth it one day lol!

Did the Courtenay conversion not come with the pipes then?

If it came with the pipes i doubt he would be asking on here about transport to take his car to some where that can bend/fab some boost pipes?

Cheapest way is find a friend/ member of the family with a decent size car and tow bar and rent a trailer, last time i rented one it was £35 for the day.
If not how about an A frame or a solid bar if you are realy stuck?

I assumed the conversion would have been complete, hence my question about the boost pipes.

well the engine was originally in a corsa so pipes dont fit and are now in a sh** state, and they looked poo even when they were new apparently (said the fella i got the engine from) dan looks like i might have to make a friend with a tow bar lol

Ah, makes sense now! Rent a trailer and find someone with a car with a tow bar who is willing to help you out. Failing that rent a car with a tow bar and get someone to drive it for you.
