I WANT TO FIT A CARB TO A 1.6 GTE HEAD HAS ANYONE ANY IDEAS.
THE CAR WILL BE USED ON ROAD RALLIES SO A PAIR OF 40 'S IS NOT ALLOWED AS I CAN ONLY HAVE A SINGLE TWIN CHOKE.

Provided you are OK to make up a mounting plate what about an old 2.0l twin choke down draft weber that were fitted to the 2.0l Pintos in Cortina GXL's or similar? Bit ancient but it'll need to be as more modern stuff usually have carbs strangled to meet emission laws. I fitted 1 onto my 1.6 Sierra, ported the head out and added a zorst - got 92hp at the wheels:)

cant u somehow build an adaptor to fit one half of the 40's set so essensially it would be a single 40DCOE?

would that be legal?

or could any of these pass as a single twin choke carb?
