Hi Guys and Girls

Any advice on which brake fluid to go for. Dot 5.1????? any particular brand????

it's 4 a nova XE with V6 brakes, braided hoses and rear drums, and most probabaly GM pads or EBC Greenstuff, not sure of pad choice yet? and all parts are New front and rear

engine mods are basic, powercap, re mapped ECU, filter, and lightened and balanced fly wheel

thanks in advance

Im running fully synthetic dot 5.1.
This was after boiling standard stuff in my old 16v GTE not fun when it happened.

i'm using Motul RBF600 Fully Synth Fluid. Not been on the track yet, but no problems. I'll recomend it, it's got a higher boiling temp of normal Dot 5.1.

Im using Dot 4, about £4 from motor factors lol lol
No problems so far, and my brakes have seen plenty of hard use :)

in answer to all the above i was gonna use a DOT 5.1 but apparrently it absorbs more moisture as it designed for racing which is changed more frequently than a regular road car, so i was just gonna use Comma ESP DOT4 its only gonna be used for A-b and shows if i can get

I already have some RBF600 in the garage, just put it in my evo 6 so was thinking about using my spare bottle, but looking at all ur replys think a Fully synthetic DOT 4 is more than good enough

whats everyone reckon?????

Just use DOT4 in mine, never had any pobs with it. Your not gonna go far wrong with ny DOT4 from a motor factors / Halfords really.

Have to agree with Stuart.
I use The ATE Super Blue and at £15.00 approx for the bottle its excellent value.

I want that ATE stuff, but glad I didnt initially as we wasted loads trying to bleed & find the problems with my brakes. I'd try some after the winter though.
