1.2-1.4SR

i currently have a 1.2 nova n i'm putting a 1.4 in it.what i need to know is- is all the wiring the same and will the driveshafts of the 1.2 be the same as 1.4's?? also is putting GTE brakes on your nova as easy as swapping them or do you need to modify anything?? cheers.

Well that depends if the engine you are taking out is carb or injection and weather the new engine is carb or injection but i would get the wiring to go with the new engine. Mounts are the same, driveshafts should be ok.

The brakes are a straight swap but most people fit a GTE/GSI servo/master cylinder (but usualy when fitting astra GTE brakes) I would change the brake fluid anyway.

i wouldnt bother with GTE brakes unless you already have some! go for sri/gsi which have more power and less likely to seize on you. (got a set if u wanna mail me for them)

the engine shud b pretty easy, depends if u have 1.2 carb or 1.2i.
if u have the carb and as long as u get everything off the 1.4 such as coil/dizzy/engine loom youl b ok!!
