Tried useing the Search function but as usual came up with

Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.
The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search : what, oil, do, i, use, in, my, XE

Im not having a go but this is generally what i get every time i use the search.

Anyhow, i was wondering what oil i should be using in my standard C20XE. Some people seem to say 10W40 semi but others say 5w40 fully syth.

Not bothered about what Brand oil people use just what type.

Cheers. :thumb:

Good point!

Also read on another forum that to give your engine a good flush out you should drain 1 litre of oil out and replace it with a litre of hydrolic oil. Anyone heard of this method before?
As i dont know the history i need something to flush the engine through. Any better sugestions?????????

Old engines will be working off the build up of crap (around stem seals/piston rings), Cleaning this results in lots of blue smoke
