help please. 2.0 16v shaft prob!

i am doing a 16v conversion everything is done apart from the shafts. i bought some shafts aff a lad, who said astra inners fit and use nova outers. the astra inners fit, the length is right, but the nova outers wont fit on. this is because the shafts i have been given have got 28 splines and nova joints have 22. does anyone know of any cv joints that will fit? if so help me please. cheers

I'm using Astra SR 1600 Inners and Nova GTE outers and drive shafts. They fitted fine, but other nova ones don't fit(I think).

after crawling round a muddy scrapyard, we eventually found some that fit. they are off a J-reg 1.0. i dont know how strong they will be but i will let you know. cheers

its coz 1ltr to 1.4 etc run a different amount of splines to a gte/gsi i had the same prob!
