lmfao, I was gonna say, what speed do commercial airliners do? I'm sure the BA flight I was on t'other week said it was doing over 600mph lol

Erm, in control, somewhere over 150mph in the Celica.

Had my Nova waaay off the clocks before now, so thats gotta be a proper 99mph I reckon? lol

Seriously though, top speed no idea but I much prefer the sensation of brutally savage acceleration. Like a 400bhp DAX Rush kit car, or big power Cossie really.

I much prefer the how long did it take door to door type of thing, cos that way, you know whats really going on. anyone with enough petrol & dads car can easily do big speeds down the motorway in the middle of the night.
once upon a time, i did 75miles in 55 mins on a mixture of single & dual carriageway roads, but no motorways, from oxford to my mums house in leicestershire starting at 1am, in a 1.2 merit, & yes, it was very nippy

lol I did Cheltenham to Yeovil, from my gf's (at the time) doorstep to my doorstep in about 1:20, about 100 miles. That included being stopped for 15 minutes on the M5 by the police who gave me 3 points and a £60 fine. Which was lucky.

Very very silly though, and I'd never attempt it again!

That is the speed that Earth is moving through space when you take into account how fast we are orbiting the sun, how fast the sun is orbiting the galaxy and how fast the galaxies are moving themselves against the cosmic microwave background. So your answer is 1.328,00km/h when you measure you speed against a true stationary point in space. Then consider that space itself is expanding.
