if he recomended to do so i wud as rather be safe than sorry mate and keep job right as its a pain and the inconvenience of doing it once is better than cutting any corners and having to do it all over again. do it right 1st time lee and hopefully get no more problems. . . :thumb:

No but i recon you will probably need one. Strip the existing one down but i think it will be scored and have started to break up. You are best going for a genuine pump as well.

I see a cav die and it makes me feel like  inside cos theyre fecking awesome cars, and besides vauxhall only ever made the calibra so people had a decent donor car and didnt need to pillage poor cavvys lol
Keep up with it though bud and best of luck on the engine rebuild:thumb:

I just need to get back in the swing of it, had so long off them due to getting stressed out (not all due to the cars)

You should individually grind all the rings to the correct size for your bores.
wiseboy
08-07-09, 10:45 PM
i ordered brand new rings off JE to suit the bore i had, or should i still have ground them?

Yeah, you need to set the ring gaps, not a difficult job to do, just can take a little time.

TBH i would speak to the importer for a idea. It is dependent on what sort of power levels you are going for etc.
