hey all, ive never done this and was wondering how to fit owering springs,

any tutorials out there?

Rear springs can just be pulled out when you jack the car up. Fronts, undo the two nuts at the top, two bolts at the bottom, remove strut, compress spring, remove top mount, remove spring, compress and refit new spring, refit strut.

RJ does it in 5 minutes.

Seriously though, the guide in the Haynes Bible is fantastic. Use that.

You will need spring compressors & a decent socket set.
Get some WD-40 on the upper strut bolt (middle of the top mount) now if you are gonna think about doing the work any time soon.

i dont usually take the strut off the car i just undo the big shock absorber nut then jack the car up to take the compression of the spring.lol.worked for me

i do the same as above, if you dont know what your doing then dont do it. spring compressors can be very very dangerous if used incorrectly.

if your unsure get a haynes as that will explain all

Kev I'm assuming thats for the rear.

The fronts need the whole strut taking out, cant do it without really can you?

well thats what i did on the front i think i took the caliper of too i dont trust spring compressers :cool:
