Well many of you will know this is one of the best rallies going in the UK. And yes i back up there doing it again only this time i am in the left hand side as my car is about to start a major reshell due to last years damage!!!!lol lol

Whats the interesting thing is that i am out with fellow forum member SidewaysNova(Steve Ross). He has been rebuilding his wide arch 1600cc nova rally car for 2yrs and guess what its finished!!! mot'ed taxed and Insured all for this event. We are running as part of a two car team with Steve's work mate Kris Tennant in a ex Loiuse Aitken Walker 205 Gti. The Team is Bitz Motorsport from Inverness. We are car no's 137 and 139.

The car is full Msa Logged booked.
Full Cage seats and harnesses.
1600cc rally engine running on Bike carbs(different)
F13 gearbox with straight cut gears
Fixed platform struts up front on Gravel Springs and rear gravel setup, springs will be stiffer for the event i think....
15" wheels with yokahama tarmac tyres

I also intend to keep a photo and video record of the week and the event. and yes there will be a video camera in the car with full audio so you can hear me calling all the notes plus the camera is full broadcast quality so no bad picture. Have seen it used on mate's Mk2 Escort on a rally and it's good:) :)

So here's to this years event and will keep you all upto date.

Yes thats right. Thats the hire car for anyone to use. Mull is Kris and Steve's turn to have fun having worked on everyone's else's car all year.

Ade the shell is being stripped for prep and the old one is losing bits too! lol

Just to be clear we (Bitz Motorsport) are based in Nairn 16miles from Inverness, Watch out on our website in the future (under revamp) for our EX Works/WRC style Lancia delta integrale build and possibly EX Works Audi Quattro build..............................

It'll be good to get a shot again I've almost forgotten what its like to do a rally. Had the car out for a wee test run and boy did i make the right decision to use bike carbs :).
Thanks for all the good wishes everyone, now time to hadder chappin' :thumb:

I know the Quattro - it'll be a replica, not a genuine works car.

Think I know the owner of the Lancia, will give him a shout, see if its the same car.

hi guys thats me back and steve is still on the island having a bit of a holiday.

Well what a long week that was. Cant wait to go again.

Here is some photo's from the week.

We started 139 and after leg 2 we were up to 67th but had to retire with engine failure as we were burning a little to much oil like a litre of oil in about 30 miles!!! We were on for a possiable top 50 finish. Steve has said he will be back next as will i but with my car.

In car stuff will be up shorty including some good night time stuff!!
