engine mounts

is it easy enough to remove the engine mounts one by one in order to strengthen them or does the engine have to come out?

this is on an xe by the way, the alternator pulley is fowling the bay so i am going to try and strengthen my existing mounts before having to buy solid mounts.

You will need to support the engine across the top. When removing the rear g/box mount, support the engine from the underside as it will tilt and probably damage your paintwork and wreck the mounts.

I think Youd have better luck doing more alternator clearence mods.
