fitting xe to a mk3 atsra gsi

the astra a R reg ecotec with aircon. is the transplant a straight swap or is it more complicated than i thought? thanks in advance.

Should all bolt in, will need to be wired up im guessing it wont just plug in.

Will need to use the alternator belt/pullys/pas/ac compressor off the origional engine.

But it should be quite straight forward with it already being big block

it will be a direct swap, make sure the XE has the later multi V belt as the ecotec will have this. other than that it migth have different connectors on the engine loom, so would only be a small job of wiring it up to match the R-reg loom.

i took the xe out my nova (project thread to be updated) as i am stripping the car down for a respray then after that fit the LET. so i have sold the engine to a friend. wasnt sure about how it would fit in with it being a ecotec before. thanks.
