i want to know the same thing but not for a show cage for my road rally car need to keep the interior in!
Technically his spelling isn't too bad, its the grammar thats shot to pieces lol
As said, show cages can be dangerous - a large piece of metal right by your head is the last thing you want to shear apart in the event of an accident, and your insurance company may not be too impressed about it.
Still, having said that, you can get cages which fit with the rear seats still in place, although it makes them pretty useless as nobody can fit in the back!
Don't take this the wrong way, but have you tried using Firefox? The latest version has a built in spell checker which works on text boxes (i.e. the bit your type your message into).
RJ is it really that dangerous i did not think of that but i still want people in the back for a bit it will just be for looks till i strip it out
i have got a spell checker on here but it will not put in . and bits like that ya i no i need to learn to put them in
lol Don't get a show cage. Also if you run a full cage it is lethal to have rear seat passengers (if they can even get in)
Gte Boi you iz well mad innit

Yeah, unfortunately it can be. A cage is designed to save your life in the event of a rollover, so they need to be very strong and machined/welded/bolted together properly (and be fully tested for strength etc before being sold). Cheaper ones that do not have FIA approval could just be a few thin bits of metal tack welded together, although some are pretty good quality.
As above, a decent cage will also take up most of the room in the back, so if the rear passengers could get in, their heads would smack against it in a crash.
thanks jr i will look in to it
L14mnp lol
Personnally I hate the idea of a cage (be it show or functional) with the rear seats still in place. You can't use the seats, so why have them?
For the record, I edited the earlier replies to appear a bit more civilised. Gte.Boi and L14MNP: leave your differences of the public forums from now on please.
Fair enough Jim, quite the commute for one of us to meet up for the suggested luncheon however.
lmfao @ the edits lol
thanks jr i will look in to it
