which gearbox?

hi looking for abit of advice, ive just built a let nova and was wondering which gearbox is best was thinkg a f28 but there abit of a pain to fit and just out of my budget so was going to get an f20 with lsd, but i reckon if i get an f20 i regret it and want an f28, im not expecting to get traction as the engine is running around 300bhp any advice people? thanks:thumb:

get the f28, you say a f20 is cheeper but not really. you can pick up a f28 very cheep and will handle the power where the f20 wont and your be changing them all the time! And its not hard to fit a f28 at all just patiance

ok i think i will go with an f28, i got offered one for 350 with an lsd don't sound bad does it

if the guy still has it think i will get it then, it has a fwd conversion already as well and mechanical speedo drive and still is in the car, the guy said it had a quafe diff is there anyway of conferming this without taking the box to bits?

iirc if you look through the bit where the driveshaft goes in it should be able to see through it. ill double check and let you know. but im 99% sure im right

ok mate cheers, don't mean to sound thick but what am i looking for when i look through the driveshaft hole? obviously the diff but?

should be nothing and be able to see through, well what ill do as ive got two f28's here. ill take a pic of both so you can see the diffrence

ah right i get ya mate, rover turbo boxs have lsds and you can see a disc thing if you look through them, ok mate get them pics on here for me, thanks for all ya help:thumb: :thumb:
