was not sure where abouts to put this but i joined city of bristol college this year for light veicle level 1 and got level 2 and was quite pleased i have recently been looking for an aprenticship finaly got one today. So i come home and ring my college to find out i have to join another course for 3 years nvq level...fair enough sort that all out and at the moment things are hanging on a thread i need the employee and the college to sign me up and evaluate me before monday and for the employee to agree to everything. He has done this many times before but not at such late notice. The college lady rang him today and every question he asked she was unsure off he is recieving another call tomorow to arange and hopefull get me a place at the college if everything works out :D :thumb: lovly job if not :cry: not good this maybe a waste of time writing this but hey WISH ME LUCK i need all the luck i can

good luck fella, will do you the world of good. what qualifications are you working for? i did IMI to level 3 but am only at level 2 NVQ (college ****d around and dragged their heels), but if i get back into th trade in the near future i'm going to work for my level 3.

same as you mate i think the imi there are 3 levels of nvq thats all i roughly no at the moment not too sure whats going on college have not got a clue ill find out if it's make or break tommorow and the info thanks bud:thumb:
Everything should work out mate! Im just starting my NVQ L3 afer passing L2 last year. If the college cant enrol you this year( cant see why not they must be rigght coooonts if they dont). If the garage offers you a job take it because there not easy to come by and start college on L2 next year. Dont fuk around either or you will be out lol trust me i know i left school and thought i was billy ten men jumping in cars reving the engine bla bla ba. Im now 20 ,semi skilled and being at my garage for 2 1/2 years all good!!

no i will not i am mature am nearly 18 now and i sort of no the owner when i turn 19 it will cost 80quid a month to keep me at college but if things go tits up i will try and get a trainee job there and try again next year?

Ive just qualified at a vauxhall garage after working there for coming up to 4 years. I nearly jacked it in a year or so ago but now im glad i didnt.
Its a long time on poor wages but theres a good, rewarding job at the end of it!

phone them up and mither, im on an apprenticeship and if you dont mither you dont get, on the same note, deadlines mean jack **** at college too, so if they say its gotta be done by monday, i wouldnt really beleive it, not that you should just go off that but its true, and hopefully itll chill you out abit lol

ye i ahve to wait till tommorow to ring as i was a t college today and never had the number colleges just take the piss not help if they get paid they are happy and cheers bud:thumb:
what sort of apprentship are you doing? Were you just doing a college course but now looking for an apprecticship? If you get a job at a garage they should sort out your college for you.

no atm im on just a course but sorted an aprenticship out i havr to join the aprentice course for an aprentaship as mine is a full time course atm and it is a 3 year nvq thats all im sure of mayb a modern aprrenticship??:confused:

good luck with the job and collage. i did mine with peugeot a few years back and they sent me to collage for a week every 5 weeks i started mine when i was 22 so you have planty of time yet:thumb:

thanks the employer id trying to send me to college for 2 days a week and work for the other 3:thumb:
