I have a lowered nova with a sony cd changer in the boot. Everytime i go over a bump th f**cker asks to be reset. It is not secured down cos i cant find anywhere to secure it to. Has anyone got any little gems of where to put it to stop it jumping?? I am using a standard (floppy) parcel shelf so screwing to that is out. Maybe under the front seats?? or will it get sh*t up from crap of peoples shoes? I just dont know what to do!!

Try fixing it to the back or the rear seats

glovebox?
Yeah, Either shove it in the glove box!
OR
Get some MDF (?5) cut to exact size of boot floor, either just drop in or make a false floor with other pieces of wood!
This makes good foundation for a boot install. Then Attach the autochanger to the MDF as suits you best. If you think about it, you will be able to get the board so tight that you cant remove it without using a couple of screws in places and set of pliers to pull! (SECURITY) And.... maybe even have the autochanger and if you got an amp flush with the wood, with all bolts and screws concealed! This will stop moving about and make super security as well as tidy your boot!
BUT.......its a C*NT if you get a flat and need the spare!
If you design
(lots of hidden chains, bolts etc) it well, and test it, then your install should be pretty safe from theft, so long as they don't nick the entire car instead.

lol - I've just fitted a jvc 12 disc autochanger and head unit and I havnt worked out where to put mine yet either. At the moment it lives in a cardboard box with my amp both held in place by the polystyrene supports that the headunit and cd changer came in!
Thing is its excellent at absorbing bumps n knocks! I go over some big bridges on a motorway with big dips where the road joins and it hardly skips at all (v occasionally).
Make sure the balancing supports (usually on the side) are facing at the right angle to the location - if not it'll jump all over the place. If mying flat they usually face up.

Iv used velcro, u could put a sock under it also, and then velcro it!

my changer (pioneer 6 dsc) is under my seat.
i have a strong (but flexible) reinforced plastic 'plank' which i slid between the seat and the seat springs and bolted the changer to it (i measured and drilled all the holes before install, remember kiddies, always ask an adult to help when using sharp objects) hid the cables under the flap of carpet leading to the scuff guard trim bit and fed the cables up through there to the head unit. only one person wearing army issue steel toecapped boots (you know who you are, and i'm on my way) has ever kicked it, and not only that i'm the only person (until now) who has ever known were i put it.
