when i turn my heater on it squeals for a while then suddenly stops and goes back to normal. has n e one had this prob b4? how do u fix it?
sounds like you have something stuck in the fan part under the windscreen (in the scuttle panel where yer battery lives under the plastic cover theres the fan intake - a round cylinder thing - take cover off and check it out).
May need a wee squirt of wd40 or somethings in it.

cheers ade ill give that a shot but it dosent half do yer nut in! sounds like my heater is run by harry the bloody hamster :D
dunno but it could be the bearings that make it rotate - may have gone - that would account for the squeel as it runs erratically
lol at hamster!
:D
Could be a leaf in the fan, but most likely the motor bushes are shot. I believe that you have to swap the whole motor/fan assy. I wait to be corrected.
Just turn the volume up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mine did the same thing. If its the same sound i am thinking of then it does it when u first turn it on but when u turn it up it stops and then it is ok. Try greasing the bearing of your fan blower. then it should be smooth as a babys bum! :D
