Kris and I went to Powerstation yesterday for some dick waving on the rollers...lol

We were both VER impressed with the set up there, it was nice to chat to the operators as they actually knew stuff about engines...

Chap commented on the torque of mine and how they struggled to keep it down (although I think this was due to the fact they thought it was a std XE!)

It couldve made more, as he only revved it to 6700 ish, but he said he wasnt sure what spec the cams/bottom end was :( It does seem to be climbing when he backed off too...

the graph...

Not too bad really...
235 bhp and 187 lb/ft

:D

Well I was expecting over 220 - so it cant be that bad!

c'mon you grumpy gay, just accept that your car is gayer than a pink tent and that you are simply jealous.

should have asked him to take it higher will. 7500 would have been safe with your engine wouldnt it?

Technically its 'safe' to 9000, but my limiter is at 8300 - He did say after that had he had known he would have taken it all the way! :(

Graph states 144 at the wheels?

nice one fella as it cost you much to get it to that point ?

nice fly figure, altho worrying wheel figure...

my white nova had only 181bhp, yet 144bhp at the wheels

this one has 197bhp, and 176bhp at the wheels due to gearbox

None too shabby. 187 lb/ft is a mahoosive figure!

As said, wheel figure is uber low for that fly figure though.

Thats pretty much what my engine should make on yellow injectors when I finally get around to getting it mapped :)

Massive transmission losses. Usually about 15%

144hp at the wheels sounds spot on for the revs they used tbh.
230hp at 6800rpm though?

At the engines proper revs no doubt it would make that sort of power

Didnt really notice the whp until I got the graph... anyone explain reason for a 90 hp loss through an F20! lol

In my humble opinon for that engine power (which I do believe your engine is pushing). Your wheel figure should be nearer 190bhp on a F20 box.

To give you a comparison. Mine made 147bhp ATW before I got it fully sorted. Sounded like a fun day and it's intresting looking at the graph after driving your car. Both me and Chris were talking about your engine today as welllol.

As said on mig, the wheel power is probably bang on for the revs he took it too.
Your engine probably does put out 170-180 at the fly, at about 6800rpm....?

The fly figure you have got from that wheel figure isn't correct imo

Yeah, it would make sense I guess - when it was mapped it was still climbing at the limiter, so unless somone has been fiddling with my verniers (oo-er) I cant see why my peak has shifted down the range!

Unless of course, it was going on for 260! lol

Best not been slaggin it off Mr P! lol

Forgot to tell you that I fitted a Wide Band thingy wotsit and the fuelling is spot on! Cheers for your help on that!
