cant remove oil seal to replace inner race on rear bearing

okay so ive got my hub off, and now im trying to remove the oil seal and i cant do it, haynes manual says tyre level stout screw driver, and im struggling, the rubber just bends back and slips off due to all the grease, am i doing something wrong, cheers!

did your new bearings come with the rubber seal

yeah, ive managed to get it out now, but the inner bearing? appears to be stuck to the axel bit? its not in the hub? or am i looking at the wrong thing?
it doesnt seem to want to come off anyway
i dont want to try forcing it before i actually know if im supposed to take it off

my new bearings are a differant shape, but appear to be the right diameter?
so im going to assume they have changed them and these will work :S
mine must be fair old now!

yes that is the bearing, me being daft, but i cant get it off to save my life!

if i remember correctly that seal holds the inner bearing in, so if the seal were still on the drum then the bearing would be sat inside.
