Well obviously the corsa has been played with so imo it would come down to suspension, brakes, tyres, driver skill and road conditions, but im not sure how much a 106 runs standard but tbh even though theyre french i think theyre ace and i know they are damned quick!

Arent they like the nova sport of the 106 world though, im guessing theyre fairly special in a similar way, 1300 mpi, iirc?

there 1.6 twin cam with aprox 130bhp standard

its the S2 1.6i 8v but its rapid upto 60 so who knows how they achieved the performance

the 106 will be quicker,i used to have a corsa gsi and my mates 106 gti used to pull away from it.they respond well to basic tuning aswell and are very quick little cars when in the right hands:thumb:

Tbh in all fairness its not a fair race imo, as there seem to be some silly quick corsa GSi`s and some really slow ones.

Brodie SRi will back me up here as a local lad dragged with him in a nigh on standard corsa GSi against his nova SRi and Brodie left him standing:thumb:

Go to sbd and buy a tb kit for about £1800

106gti's/saxo vt's are awesome little cars, and much quicker than a std corsa gsi

it was the top of the range model.. thats all, like how the later one's are called sports..

its a luke warm hatch, if anything, just like a nova gsi with only 100bhp..

lol Not that it mattters but iirc GSI's are 109bhp and 106's are 120 standard!
