what is the white ball in the inlet of the tank for? is it an anti-leak mechanism?

I think so yes, it also stops larger objects dropping into the tank.

reason i ask is, when i took the tank out of my xe nova the other day my mate pushed the ball down and into the tank. was wondering if it would cause a problem or not.

Why did he do that? lol i wouldnt have thought so.

he tryed to keep the ball out of the way while i emptied the tank and pushed it too far
