fiesta stereo

i recently got a fiesta as a runaround until i get another nova but got problem with the headunit. the cd player can only work when the ignition is on which is normal i know. but whenever i turn car off then on again i lose all settings on the stereo. lose all radio stations i saved and bass and treble settings. how do i sort it out? stereo is fli swat 3

there should be a wire or two on the back lose, if one or bother are connected to somthing or each other it explains that. Dont hold me to this though as i cant remember.

On the wiring plug there should be a yellow and red wire, these are both power supply wires to the headunit. One is a full time feed to store memory and the other is from the ignition to switch it on and off. Chances are these wires are the wrong way round.

I remember that cause on vauxhalls you have to swap these about anyway.

just checked the stereo. i got a red wire (ACC+) going to a yellow wire and a yellow wire(BATT) going to a red wire. so i should swap wires and go yellow to yellow and red to red?

yes thats sounds right then save a radio station switch it off for a bit and then on to see if the station saved
