Yo! just wondering how do i colour the fabric on my door cards,
i went into hobby craft and asked about fabric dye but they said they all have to be washed through, so when i explained what i was doing, the girl just stood there like a wax statue,
anyone done it before?? thanks!

With difficulty i would have thought. Just scan the items for sale get some GSi cards to go with your black dash!!
Agreed. Either that or have them A) Retrimmed or B0 Get some cloth and Retrim them yourself.
They're not difficult to do either mate.

when i looked at them it appeared the trim was stuck to the card like it was one piece thang, are gsi cards black as standard then?
ive just bought some standard ones like mine anyway as the ones that are on keep tryna peel off, i left them in the garage came back a week later and they were like quavers lol
Aye GSi items are black, a lot neater looking as well. The Cloth is heat stuck onto the lower Vynal but if you use a nice Stanley Knife you can trim the cloth off, and refit black cloth with abn over lap under the Vynal but keep it all well stuck to the card with Adhesive spray, if you follow.

yep yep, done quite abit of work with a carpet fitter, might get some mega plush thick pile carpet, pimp it out ;) lol joke
yeah i get you, got some quite good spray adhesive at home for fitting proper vinyl floors in hospitals etc, my best mates a clean room fitter, shoots out like spider mans web haha
what are gsi seats like then? are they black also?
Thats the proper stuff. Its not hard to do either.
GSi Interior is Black, with a pattern in the centre of the seats in Grey. Its very smart actually, all the inside trim (plastics etc) are black as well. Looks spot on.
Almost all Novas these days have Gsi look/interior.Stick with the original plan and make your own.

If you do make your own be sure to post some pics up. Nothing wrong with having a go to do something different!
Not the best pic, but these are GSi seats.

do u recon i should make a W.I.P thread? might last forever on my wage though lol
Yeah go for it mate. WIPs Rock, but can i just say 1 thing. Too much black on the inside can be too much, so choose wisely.

As Dod said too much black can be a bad thing!!
Yeah i saw your dash change thread, not an easy job if you're not 100% sure what you are doing. Your spraying your roof lining? Will paint not peel of the vinyl?
Get a W.I.P thread going in Projects. Dont worry bout it lasting forever, i've been doing my Nova for nearly 4 years:roll: :( lol

The link should take you right to the correct page.
Paint wont peel off, but it wont be as tough as dye as its only covering the cloth and not soaking through the cloth but it will work.

I meant paint would peel off the roof vinyl lining.

Na, you get a few pics of the car as it came, of the various stages of work and conversion and make it as interesting a read as possible.
