first of all thanks to those who helped me out with the fuel problem :thumb:
i have the engine running now on tick over. although a little lumpy. it has no 'guts' at all and feels like im trying to pull away in 3rd gear when in 1st.
the ignition timing is 20+ degrees out and firing Before TDC hence the lumpy tickover and no power i guess?
this is what i have in the car at the mo
astra C1.4SE engine and F13 gearbox
Nova Sri (mpi) complete loom that fits to a standard coil and dizzy with a crank sensor
the ECU that came with the engine (coil pack engine)
i fitted the dizzy and coil from the old 1.4 spi
as far as i can understand the ECU controls all of the ignition timing, the dizzy just sends the sparks to the plugs and plays no part in the timing for the ignition what-so-ever. right??
the only thing i can think of is the ECU from the coilpack engine is wrong for a dizzy set-up?
please help, its really doing my head in now :)
