Photography from Le Mans 2008 @ Silverstone...

Today we witnessed all the top cars from the famous Le Mans 24 Hours competing in a 1000km race on the full Grand Prix circuit at Silverstone. It was the fifth and final round of the 2008 Championship.

Here is some of the photos I took throughout the day that I thought I'd share with you.

Hey Olz - just woke up lol

Think my fav pic is the above - ok, not the most technical etc.. but the context in which it was taken.

Ok, let me set the scene:
Mooching round the pit lane, Olz going anywhere and everywhere he can stick his long appendge.(Zoom lense you perves)

Olz spots an open door right next to race/timing control and needs less invertation than a virgin in a brothal, he's in there like a shot.

This leads to another open door right on to the pit lane, right outside the penealty box at the start of the pit lane!!!

Kudos Mr. Hewitt, kudos indeed! - Grande kahunas:p

Managed to stay there about 5 mintues while cars came past popping and banging with their pit lane limiters and various pit crew came back and forth through the door we were watching out.

Highlight of the day for me, buzz that we might get caught and also to get to see behind the scenes in the 'flesh', so to say.

Hewitt - you are a legend Sir - made the day most enjoyable, following you and your long appendge around ;)

Was a wicked weekend!
I went fri, sat and sunday

VIP Pit access FTW however, no risky buzz here

Fave cars for me were the CER stuff, the old BMW M1s, Ford RS1600 (pinto on TBs pushing 300bhp+) old skool porsches GT40s.......

But in the actual race itself, the noise of that lambo DROOOOOL
and also the Vette and the baby aston, V8 power FTMFTW!!
All the other cars sounded pretty funking ace too.

Did you see the audi/peugot collision on the first corner?

Top weekend had by all, even if i have got panda eyes from getting sunburn on my face with sunglasses on!

Oh and the lights on the side are not secondary brake lights

They are formation lights, you will see different layouts and colours, so the teams can see which car is theres at night
