Once again i may be changing my plans! I would need to sell my engine first though. Engine has just been re-built not run yet. The spec is as follows:

Bottom end
ARP rod bolts
Steel con rods
Omega 80.00 mm forged pistons
SBD steel idler rollers
Cometic 1.3mm laminated metal head gasket
New water pump

Top end
ARP head stud kit
Ported and polished cylinder head
SBD Titanium valve cap
SBD valve spring platform
Bronze valve guides
SBD double valve springs
SBD solid cam followers
SBD underground shims
Pair of SBD/Kent 295 degree, with 11.60mm lift cam shafts
SBD/Kent vernier pulleys
SBD/Jenvey inlet manifold
SBD/Jenvey Taper throttle body kit with 90mm trumpets
SBD fuel rail
MBE 967 engine management
SBD wiring harness
Cool running stat
Modified cam cover for dry sump system

Needs BTB exhaust manifold (or equivalent), injectors and dry sump system to finish or can just change cam cover back to standard in order to run standard (new and fitted) oil pump.

Also comes with roose silicone hoses

Im unsure of price at the moment offers in the region of £5000 will cost about £1400 to finish with dry sump. So for £6400 you would have a very very competative engine:thumb:

PM me or email stephen1_edwards1@hotmail.co.uk

As stated im only gauging intrest at the moment.

Ste

Expected to make 190/200 bhp with 140lbft torque

Stephen.

You need to get this advertised on the race and rally websites, it's more likely to sell on those.

What are your plans for an engine now then?

Hi Colin.

Have it on race cars direct.Do you have any other good websites for selling on?

New engine MAY involve an alloy block:cool:

Hope your well.

Alloy blocks are undoubtedly the way to go, I've been looking into one for my Cosworth, but the £3k-£4k price tag is a lot to justify, even to save 25kg.

www.rallycarsforsale.net (http://www.rallycarsforsale.net)

is a good website to try, there's a lot of International buyers/sellers who use that.

I would mainly be going down that route as i can achive 250bhp and alot more torque and keep the same weight.

Thanks for the websites:thumb:

Hi Ste,
Think you may struggle with the rally boys as it's 1639cc now. The hill climb guys may be a better target as they have a 1700cc limit in their modified class. If you ever decide to split it then let me know. Good luck. :thumb:

All the Hillclimb/Sprint events I've done (Modified Production Class) split at under 1400cc, 1400-2000cc, then over 2000cc.

Depending on what block the engine has been built from, then it may not strictly be eligible for hillclimb use anyway (at least not in the Mod Prod class).

If it's a Corsa block, then it will have the mounting lugs cast into it for the power steering pump, which has seen Novas thrown out of sprint and hillclimb events in the past.............
