Morning gents, I bought 16" Toyo 888s (cant remember the width at the moment as it was ages ago) and the nsr was rubbing the inner arch.
I'm getting my track car rebuilt at the moment and was wondering whats the best and easiest way to overcome this rubbing?
Cheers in advance

Raise the car a bit, iirc they have a very round side wall which is why they rub.
If it's just a little maybe modify it with the hammer dude
Get 15s
There big enough even on 15" rims, never mind 16s.
You need arch mods even to get 195/50/15s on
have you replaced the rear beam bushes??
have you replaced the rear beam bushes??
Wouldnt have thought it would take the beam move that much, would it?
Worn bushes will give a lot of beam movement under hard cornering

Its getting built as we speak so ill check the rear bushes
My problem being is that I have willwood 4 pots on the front and putting 15s on isnt an option
Has anyone put spacers on the rear to overcome this problem?

Even tho the bolt gos thu a hole each side? Wouldnt have thought it would move that much..

so is no one running 16s with 4 pots? surely someone is?
Would spacers on the rear sort it or give me problems?

If its only rubbing the inner arch and you have enough clearence on the outer arch, then yes, a spacer should help sort it.
I run spacers on a set of 16" wheels with no problems (5mm IIRC). If you still get rubbing issues you could try jacking out the rear arches a bit.

also, what size are the willwoods on the front?? 280's will clear 15's all day long, my 305 AP/Reylands will clear 15inch MO's with the lightest of trims with a grinder to the edge of the callipers!
wilwood 4 pots are fine with most 15s. What disks are you running? I have racelines (15s) and there is loads of room.
16" 888s are not really gonna fit. 15s are close enough!

wide grippy tyres will make even poly bushes flex a lot.. a lot of people repair the fronts & never touch the rears......
