I AM NOT AFTER CLOCKING MY CAR
just got some gsi clocks and they ha 50K+ on them whereas my 1.2 has done 96K+ i want to get the correct mileage on there, is there any possible way
my only thought was jamming my 24V dewalt in the back and emptying the battery lol
thanks very much!
Yes.
Unscrew the dail from the clocks, you can then unscrew the numberd screen and then you can see all the clogs, which you can carefully move.

cheers, ive unscrewed the dial but the speedo indicator (the little red stick thingy) blocks the dial from coming off, dont want to force it incase it breaks! tried turning the cogs gently from behind the dial but they wont move, thanks
Do it from the back mate jus play around untill you get it, tis fairly easy to do just fiddly.
Not going to go into detail as its technically illegal lol

Remember once you have rolled the numbers round it is highly likely the numbers will never line up again :thumb:

it is legal to do it..
hence why there are company's that do it day in, day out ;)
clocking a car isn't illegal, doing it to increase it's value is though, and with him increasing millage, not decreasing it, this is 100% legal :thumb:
^^^Ill go and stand in the corner and think about what ive done, im sowwie!

good, and dont move untill you are told to lol lol :p
You dont have to take all the cogs apart, i did it by flicking the numbers around, just needs a little bit of force. Means they will all still line up 100%

Not really, we do it every time we replace instrument clusters at work. As long as you are not falsifying the mileage and not declaring it (which he would be doing by fitting lower mileage clocks and leaving them) its pefectly fine.
don't try to force the numbers round, it might be a short term fix, but they won't turn properly in the future, the metal pin in the middle of the numbers can be removed easily, & then the numbers can be turned to whatever you need....

you take the clocks out and while holding down the trip milage reset buttton you can spin the gears round to clock up the miles. the cogs are the same teeth as lego gears so using a lego gear and a motor the miles can be clocked up faster.

yes.
Ah good old Nova's. I remember doing this to my mates old mk1 when he fitted SR clocks. Shame any car not made out of old Spanish rubbish bins and designed with a set square isn't quite as simple lol
