hi,
i want to lower and stiffen up my nova just wondered if anyone has any idea as too how much its got 185/55 r15's on it and just wondered how low i shud go i do nt want it too low atal tho really as high as possible without lookin silly like it does at the moment lol, ive also heard that vauxhalls are always higher on the front witch i can see from mine because the back looks fine its just the front that looks too high looks like the engine is out lol, so does anyone know how much the diffrence between the front and back is to level it out a bit??
o and sorry not the lowering topic but iv jst put a rev counter in and was wondering if anyone knew the redline of a 1.4i, wanna set the shift light up properly lol :D
cheers alex

I have a full set of Koni adjustables, 60mm dropped, VGC springs and shocks front and rear £80

Car sat like this on 195 50s (wheels are also available £120 with brand new tyres, tyres still have nipples on

what wheels you got on? if they are nowhere near et49 offset you're gonna have problems going any lower than about 40mm without archwork. if they are 49s or close 60mm (as above) looks good and i.m.o. any lower and the ride gets a bit harsh for hard road use, back ends are light enough without bouncing off every imperfection in the road.

As above, we need to know what wheels you have on your car to advise properly.

Vauxhalls (Nova) should typically sit a bit higher at the back, as the nose lifts under acceleration anyway. Plus it puts a bit more weight on the fr wheels for traction.

My advice is some Yellow Bilstein or KONI shocks with Eibach sport line springs. Not cheap but really good for road use.

As for the shift light, set it for change when the engine stops accelerating & the next gear will benefit you rather than waiting for the next 200rpm which might take 10 seconds.....
