Is it going to be difficult to fit ronal turbos to a nova. If so, what wheels would you guys fit. Any pics of your rims eould be great:thumb:

As long as you get the right offset they should fit fine.

Only pic i've got..

To get the correct offset is awkward as iirc there usually et low 30's but if you want those wheels its the euro look your going for and odd fitting wheels is the way forward for the euro look.

I like the euro look myself but the wheels do look odd fitting, not bad just odd!

If the search is used, all the information you can imagine is available at your fingertips!

Why bother even having a forum, just use the search function and see whats been posted in the past, would make a great intresting website!

Cos its really interesting seeing the same threads over and over and over and over and over and over and over again isnt it!

On a side note, how do i fit an XE into my nova?

Hi,

I'm just wondering is it a little bit easyer to get over the "et" problem if you have a saloon??

Tried search !

Well its not like many new ideas come out and with the youngest nova being 15 years old its always going to be things being repeated. If you dont want to keep re reading things dont view them, just scroll over the title read the first line, if youve read it in the past posted by 18 other people, ignore the 19th!

Its not difficult!

Yes there is a bigger tolerance with the Saloon, not much but it is slightly better.

A little shove in the right direction, ie the search function, isnt harmful either.

HC, due to the round arches, you may get away with it a bit easier

Thank you Stoo and Ben

A little shove and being rude are not the same thing, the club wants new members, it wants to be a resource for people to find help with there cars, if someone comes on here thinking this and get a far from witty reply saying oh god this gets asked every week use the search button.

They will probably think, oh what a **** clicky site that is, wont bother signing up to that,

Stoo
09-09-08, 03:19 PM
I wasnt being rude at all, i was pointing a relatively new user in the direction of a very good functioning search tool. Which is more than can be said for most forums.

A litlle research and inginuety go a long long way.

However, your anti-attitude comes across in a similar fashion.

Pistol Pete

The greeny Nova on the first page? They are Ronals... Adam said Breenys (top Nova BTW!) had Ronals (but they didnt) and was corrected.:) :thumb:

theres must be 2 types of ronal turbos then as the ones in the 1st pic arent engraved ronal turbo?

Pistol Pete
09-09-08, 04:48 PM
No, they have been polished so the black part that is usualy in the middle is not.

IMO they dont look the same. Ronals have a dished centre.

Stoo
09-09-08, 05:18 PM
there are at least two types

some have the lettering, early ones dont

ronal turbos will look lovely and fit easy them above are not ronal turbo's they are from the schimidt range (german) you can get them if your looking to spend from around 1149 big ones with tyres

Ronal turbo's have been around for donkeys years, they dont all have the lettering on them. They certainly dont come in an offset close to -49mm to fit on a 3-dr.

Try ebay.de

I bought a set of Ronal Turbo's brand new back in 1998, the ones I got had the Ronal writing......odd

the ronal writing is a 'replica' of the original (without letters) and that version is rare

Is it okay to bump a 8 month old thread

L14MNP
08-05-09, 12:42 PM
I'm joining in seeing as this is back up for discussion and I never bumped it lol. Without writing = ph1 and with = ph 2.

Never been a fan of the phase 2's TBH. Too 'busy' and why a wheel would have turbo written/stamped on it is beyond me.

/retard mode. I assume it's because they resemble a turbine?

Still a gay idea.

Pistol Pete
08-05-09, 03:07 PM
Why has this been bumped? FFS, BTW for the record they ARE Ronals....

mayhem
08-05-09, 03:25 PM
the ones without writing are phase 1, the are focking rare and expensive, the ones with writing are phase 2, still to buy new for about 500 euro a set, without tyres.

the are made in 7j et28 and et37 iirc.

to confuse some even more...

there is also a 3piece version of it, with RONAL RACING written into it. these are also freaking rare and expensive.
